Again big thanks to Fred Pidgeon for helping with the results in the wet conditions.

The next race is at the Friesland Leisure Centre, Sandiacre on 13th June 7.15 start.

Please be aware that all of the Summer League officials, timekeepers, position recorders, marshals and race organisers carry out their duties as well as they can. They volunteer and do so for no free, not even travel expenses, so we should all be thankful that without them these races could not take place. Please therefore give them the respect they deserve and a thank you to them at every opportunity.

2012 Burney Cup and Mary Gash Shield.

After 4 races it is difficult to know who will set the challenge to win these prestigious prized trophies. Mick Robinson doesn’t appear interested this year and Wendy is not as committed as previous years. The Notts AC website has latest positions and a list of the races.

The next races on the calendar are the Beeston 5 on 30th May, the Long Eaton 5 on 10th June, the Summer League at Erewash (Sandiacre) on 13th June and Rampton 10k on 17th June wish is also a Notts AAA County Championship race. There is also on 26th June the Holme Pierrepont 10k.

Sorry to report that we do not have a marathon this year as the Robin Hood has been cancelled. The Notts AAA are hoping to use the Leicester Marathon for theCounty Championship but this will be too late for us to include in our results.

Keep on running,

Ken
