| Notts Athletic Club is organised on your behalf by a General Committee which is elected at the Annual General Meeting in October every year. The Executive Committee is elected prior to the AGM by the General Committee.
Responsibility for the day to day running of the club falls to the part time General Manager and part time Development Manager who's main responsibility is working with schools.
The responsibilities of each committee are as follows:-
Executive Committee
The executive consists of the President, Chairman, Vice Chairman, General Manager, Treasurer, Membership Secretary, Welfare Officer, Coaching Representative and Secretary.
The executive meets when required but on a minimum of four occasions per year. It is responsible for ensuring club policies are adhered to, planning, budgeting, discipline and welfare issues and managing and directing the Chief Executive. In particular the Executive ensures the club is working to the Development Plan and Coaching Strategy.
General Committee
The general committee consists of the Executive plus representatives from the sections of the club, namely men's road and cross country, women's road and cross country, men's track and field, women's track and field, junior men's track and field, junior women's track and field and young athletes. In addition five other members are elected. The General committee receives reports from each section and other committee members and manages the club. It is the ultimate decision making body of the club. This committee meets every month.
This committee is also responsible for the administration of the club. It covers registration, welcoming, membership, clubhouse matters, fund raising, club kit and generally ensuring the club is a welcoming environment.
Coaching Committee
This committee is managed overall by the coaching & development manager. The coaching Committee consists of all active coaches at the club. The committee works towards the coaching strategy, identifies and attempts to meet gaps in the club's coaching provision, identifies education opportunities and highlights facility and equipment issues. The coaching Committee is to be re-established towards the end of 2004.

The Coaching & Development Manager
The coaching & development manager is responsible for the day to day running of the club. In addition he / she has specific responsibilities for recruitment and management of volunteers, obtaining outside finance, school development work, publicity and representing the club with outside organisations.
