Following their recent success at the British Masters Indoors Athletic Championships, Mark Dunwell and Viv Oliver’s good form continued at the 2nd World Indoor Athletics Championships in Linz, Austria.
Mark Dunwell secured the gold medal in the M35 200 metres in a time of 22.66 seconds. Later, in an extremely close 60 metres final, Mark dead-heated for 3rd place in a time of 7.01 seconds and received a joint bronze medal.
Viv Oliver’s return to form continued with a well-deserved silver medal in the M50 200 metres. Viv just missed out of the medals in the 60 metres final, but did manage to secure another silver medal when the British team finished second in the 4x200 metres relay.
A haul of four World medals for the Notts AC Masters is no mean achievement and is a feat that we should all be proud of.
