Notts AC took a strong team to this years Midland 7 & 5 Mile Championships held in a rainy cold and cloudy Halesowen, racing over a course described as "challenging"!
First race of the day was for the ladies held over 5 miles, with Joanne Clamp leading the team home in a brilliant second place overall! Becca Peach (7th) and Katie Speake (17th) also ran strongly.
For the men, the competition is a bit more challenging as anyone who has won the individual race or part of the winning team over the last 5 years cannot race meaning over 20 Nott men couldn't count. Alastair Watson claimed the overall win and lead the club home to team Gold as well, supported by Amdebrhan Berhe, Dylan Stanway, Will Trease, Ewan Collier and Alex Percy. The team was ably supported by Matt Williams, Tim Hartley, Tom Dinning and Allan Wilson.

Next up on the cross country fixture list is the North Midlands League on 6th December at Allestree Park, Derby.
