The final race of the league took place at Holme Pierrepont last Wednesday 7 Aug, seeing Notts AC field teams across both men’s and women’s races . Alistair Watson took the win on the night with a commanding performance ahead of Milan Campion who in the process secured the overall senior men’s title for the series. Milan lead the team throughout the series of five races taking the senior men’s team to a silver medal just behind Mansfield Harriers in what was a close battle all season.
Other league medallists included Josh Smith taking the U20 Men’s title, and Tim Hartley winning gold in the Masters 55-65 category. Stephen Long also took home silver in the Masters 45-55.
It takes impressive commitment to take part across all five races of the league covering the length of the county, and along with our medallists, Angela Brown, Andrew Williams and Allan Wilson also completed the set.
